Hedgehogs

We have been learning all about hedgehogs!

Did you know .....

  • A hedgehog's nose is called a snout and they have spines on their backs.
  • Hedgehogs like to eat slugs and insects but their favourite food is eggs.
  • Hedgehogs sleep during the day and hunt for food at night.
  • Hedgehogs can't see very well, but they can smell and hear really well.
  • Hedgehogs sleep in leaves, they even makes nests in the grass.
  • Hedgehogs go to sleep for the whole of winter, this is called hibernating.

Haven't we learned a lot!!

Here's pictures of our art lesson, it was a drawing lesson and we drew hedgehogs.

Look how great our drawings turned out.......

We learned a poem called "Hibernating Hedgehogs". We made our own actions to go with it too.

We made clay hedgehogs which was lots of fun! They are drying over the weekend and we are going to paint them next week.
